Frequently Asked Questions
Please contact us if you can not find the answer
of your question below.
I am an architect and I do a lot of punchlists for several jobs.
Can I use one handheld machine for all the projects I have?
Yes, you can. The Punchlister is designed to accommodate all of your projects.
When you are on the job, simply choose the job you will punchlist and your
handheld will display only those line items associated with the job.
Once we decide to go with the Punchlister, how long does it take
for you to set us up?
It takes about 10 business days for us to set up the Punchlister. This time
includes installation and training.
We are a facilities management company. Is your product
specifically designed for construction companies or can we use it as well?
The Punchlister works on any project that has repeat units and line items that
are assigned to various trades. As a facilities manager, you can use the
Punchlister to keep track of the improvements and repairs required at your
properties and generate reports that automatically assign the line items to the
responsible parties.
Can we use the Punchlister as a scheduling tool?
Yes, by having the line items correspond to the schedule's line items, you can
determine on the field the tasks that have been completed, thus update your
schedule.
Can I email punchlist reports generated using the Punchlister?
Yes. You can save the reports generated as html files. These files can be
easily emailed using any of the popular email clients.
I have large jobs and I would like to have more than one person
punchlisting on the job. Can I use multiple handhelds for one job?
Yes you can. The Punchlister is designed to allow quick punchlisting of the
jobs on the field. You can use multiple handhelds to punchlist the job.
I would like my subs to view their reports online. Is that
possible?
Yes, using the contact manager you can easily open user accounts for your subs
and they can access the system using a web browser. In order for your subs to
access their reports you need to have the Punchlister installed on a server
that is connected to the Internet. If you choose to have the Punchlister only
on your corporate LAN, your subs will not be able to access their reports.
How secure is the Punchlister?
As any password protected software, the Punchlister is as secure as the
passwords that protect the system. A sophisticated contact manager allows the
administrators to open user accounts and to manage them. It is your
responsibility to make certain that only those that will be using the system
have access to the system. Some corporations choose to use the system only in
their corporate LAN to ensure the highest level of security.
